Best for Women Events Promotion

Mini fundraiser | Best for Women Workshop series

Our coaches at Best for Women, Brooke and Christine, have been volunteers for over 18 years, supporting organizations that empower women and girls.

There are three things that we continue to hear as a challenge for the organizations we serve:

  • membership (retention and acquisition)
  • fundraising (especially when events went on pause during the pandemic, and as we head into a recession)
  • brand awareness (not enough people know about your organization and the good work you do)

We are offering support to your organization with fundraising and outreach

We are offering a series of workshops as a low-effort mini fundraiser for your organization.

The first workshop was for Sortoptimist International of Dundas Ancaster Flamborough in December 2022 as a membership drive. The topic was Planning Priorities: how to make the most of 2023 (sample post).

Almost 40 people signed up and it resulted in two membership inquiries.

We support your organization by keeping this low effort for your member.

The team at Best for Women will provide you with:

  • Professionally facilitated workshops
  • Customized email templates and social media posts (sample text and images) that you can use to promote the event
  • Managed registration and reminders for participants
  • Payment and tracked ticket sales (via unique URL for your organization)
  • Cash payout within 2-weeks after the event based on ticket sales

In case we haven't met before ...

👋 hi! I'm Brooke Gordon, founder of Best for Women.
We believe connection is a foundation for confidence.

Over the past 18 years as a member of Soroptimist International, I have volunteered my gifts of facilitation and strategic planning to support their organization through: social media campaigns, team building workshops for clubs in distress, virtual events to support membership drives, and workshops as fundraisers.

Throughout my career I've had a wide range of experiences: as a manager and advisor for large organizations and start ups, leading strategic planning and effecting change; as a co-owner of a growing business; as a Faculty member teaching business strategy to engineers; and as a management consultant and development banker supporting entrepreneurs.

The idea to create a Continuing Education Credit series was first envisioned by Pauline Hardcastle.
She was a fellow Soroptimist, an artist, a visionary, and a close friend whom we lost to breast cancer in 2017.

I am an advocate for entrepreneurs and an Executive Coach for women in leadership.
In my full-time role, I host leadership retreats and coaching programs for entrepreneurs.
I am a weightlifting enthusiast, podcast host, passionate volunteer, and a lifelong learner.

Ticket information

The workshop registration fee is C$37 per participant.

There is a 9% administrative fee per transaction. No minimum commitment of sales.

This means, if 30 tickets are sold through the promotion and efforts of your organization, the total revenue would be C$1110, and your organization would receive a transfer of C$1010.10.

How sales are tracked

Your organization will be assigned a unique link to be used in all promotions.

Your unique link will be used to attribute (track) any ticket sales that are a result of your organizations personalized invitations and social media posts.

If there are multiple clubs as part of your organization

  • each club can be assigned their own link for tracking ticket sales
  • each club will receive individual cash payouts, and will be assigned a separate administration fee
